Micheal Jackson’s Incarnation Objective

Metu Neter Reading:

Seker tem tchaas / Tehuti tu tchaas

I Ching Reading:

Obstruction (39th hexagram) with the 2nd and 5th lines stressed into Pushing Upward (46th hexagram)

The I Ching Portion of Incarnation Objective

The 39th hexagram speaks of impediments to forward movement. You cannot move forward because there’s an abyss in front of us and we cannot move backward because there is a steep mountain.

There are challenges all around us but the mountain, in its stillness, gives us a hint as to how to function — to remain still in the face of the challenges. Meditate and gain wisdom about the situation in order to extricate ourselves.

The text says: We are surrounded by obstacles: at the same time, since the mountain has the attribute of keeping still, there is implicit a hint as to how we can extricate ourselves.

The hexagram represents obstructions that appear in the course of time, but that can and should be overcome. Therefore, all the instruction given is directed to overcoming them. (Book of Changes as translated by Wilhelm.). Moving, doing things, will not help you. It will make things worse.

The text says, “It furthers to see the great man.”

This means to get counsel, generally of a spiritual nature, to understand the intrinsic meaning of the situation you find yourself in.

As this was Michael Jackson’s life, he would have needed a spiritual guru to help him overcome (he did so later in life). Given he began his life in a small town in Gary, IN, seeking spiritual counsel was clearly not an option! :-) However, the text does say, ‘perseverance brings good fortune’ (I Ching Book of Changes, translated by Wilhelm). And we know that persevere is exactly what MJJ did — for years.

When you get the 39th hexagram, it is a situation is that needed and necessary for your spiritual growth and development. This hexagram is sending you back to school for more education. If you ascribe to humans being able to reincarnate, one could say that in a past life, MJJ had the opportunity to be a shining star/a beacon for others, and he may have chosen not to only to come into this life (with its many hardships) to do the same thing with many more challenges than before.

The second line says, The King’s servant is beset by obstruction upon obstruction, but it is not his own fault. Ordinarily, it is best to go around an obstacle and try to overcome it along the line of least resistance, but there is one instance in which a man must go out and meet the trouble, even though difficulty piles upon difficulty; this is when the path of duty leads directly to it — in other words, when he cannot act of his own volition but is duty bound to go and seek out danger in the service of a higher cause. Then he may do it without compunction because it is not through any fault of his that he is putting himself in this difficult situation. (I Ching Book of Changes, translated by Wilhelm).

His early childhood was tough. In 1993, Michael told Oprah, “There were times when I had great times with my brothers, pillow fights and things, but I used to always cry from loneliness.” Yet, he kept being going.

MJJ, at some point, realized that doing and being what he was — a star — was what would most serve his family’s need for well being, and ultimately his own. He also saw his influence rise, as time went on, and that he could influence things out in the world — to make it a better place. So while he was not completely happy with his lot in life, he knew there was a purpose in it all.

We saw he began to raise his awareness and travel the world. He went to Africa and many say and believe his troubles with the law were a direct result of Michael looking outside of his own world and looking at the issues in the outer world.

Given this reading, he may well have realized that there could be a backlash for caring and assisting and giving voice to what he saw. But, with his incarnation he was (spiritually) duty bound to forge ahead anyway.

The fifth line of the 39th hexagram says, “In the midst of the greatest obstructions, friends come. Here we see a man who is called to help in an emergency. He should not seek to evade the obstructions no matter how dangerously they pile up before him. But because he is really called to the task, the power of his spirit is strong enough to attract helpers whom he can effectively organize, so that through the well-directed cooperation of all participants the obstruction is overcome.” (Wilhelm)

With this line, the helpers will come to the person’s aid. And Michael received help in the form of loving relationships that buoyed him through the tough times such as Deepak Chopra, Elizabeth Taylor, James Brown, Oprah, Mark Lester, Usher, Chris Tucker, Lisa Marie Presley, Brooke Shields, Nelson Mandela, Beyonce, Rev. Al Sharpton, Cher, Liza Minelli, Justin Timberlake, former President Jerry Rawlings — the list goes on and on.

He influenced those around him, and they inspired him in return.

It was his friends and his fans that made him push on to ever and ever greater heights in his pursuits in his music and in his own personal life.

The 39th hexagram turns into the 46th hexagram, Pushing Upward. This hexagram speaks of things coming from a lowly position into visible manifestation. In order to do this, one must put in effort to achieve supreme success.

“Pushing upward has supreme success. One must see the great man. Fear not. Departure toward the south brings good fortune. The pushing upward of the good elements encounters no obstruction and is therefore accompanied by great success. The pushing upward is made possible not by violence but by modesty and adaptability. Since the individual is borne along by the propitiousness of the time, he advances. He must go to see authoritative people. He need not be afraid to do this, because success is assured. But he must set to work, for activity this is the meaning of “the south”) brings good fortune.” (Wilhelm)

It is important to note that in Feng Shui, a Chinese system which speaks of how chi energy is arranged in one’s home so it is most auspicious for the individual. In this system, the south is associated with one’s Fame (how one is seen by the world).

Michael was certainly well-known throughout the world and clearly was able to meet and surmount the challenges of the 39th hexagram to head successfully into the 46th hexagram.

So, why the Seker tem for the Metu Neter portion?

The Metu Neter Portion of Michael’s Incarnation Objective

Seker tem tchaas / Tehuti tu tchaas - meaning from the Metu Neter, Vol 1 by Ra Un Nefer Amen, “lack of planning, or the incapacity to sustain deep protracted thinking, and the inability to understand the need for structure and limitations will subtract from the success that can be achieved through maintaining faith, and optimism in wise counsel.”

As the I Ching portion of Michael’s incarnation points out, he needed to see ‘the great man’. In his younger years, he did not appear to do this — and how many young people do??

In my YouTube video, I speak of a miasma surrounding Michael. A grey cloud surrounding him that may have caused depression and feelings of despair. This would come from the Seker card in its negative state.

Seker is a deity in the Egyptian pantheon of gods and is the 3rd sphere on the Tree of Life — very high up; a very lofty energy and even loftier spiritual goals are to be met. It took work for Michael to see and understand what he was supposed to be and do. It took a lot of going through situations and seeing them through (no matter how unpleasant) in order to grasp the deeper spiritual meaning behind it all.

Michael had to learn that there is an order about things, about life. An order that is more important than you, me, him. An underlying order that was directing things, that IS directing things. Once he began to understand that inner directing drive he was able to find some sort of acceptance. (I would never say peace; I do not believe he found true peace in this life.)

Yet the Seker tem (negative state) is followed by Tehuti tu tchaas (positive state). Tehuti is the Ibis headed bird in the Egyptian pantheon and is the mouthpiece of God — the oracle. One can easily say that Michael had a knowingness about him. He would be able to say things, and they would become reality — and not just because of his money. He knew things. Some things, he may not have shared with others, some things he may have shared with those close to him. But in those moments, he would be crystal clear and move from a place that is outside of this world to create the many videos, mini movies, songs, choreographies, and the myriad of other things that entertained us, and showed us his humanitarian side.

Deepak once said that Michael was a ‘tortured soul’, while he said it in terms of Michael being an artist who had the pressure on him of being better than his last work, I also feel that this ‘tortured soul’ also had a spiritual side where he sought to define how he could use his platform to help others.

The humanitarian Michael came out later, in his 30’s, as he matured and gained confidence amongst the bosom of his friends; those of like-minds who knew what it was like to be in the spotlight from the time they were small. These friends were the main ones who could truly empathize as they knew what the inner demons of that life path were like.

In summary, Michael’s incarnation objective, the reason he came to Earth, was to be a person of influence. To show the world what inner turmoil and struggle were like, even for a person of his great success. To show that even such an obviously talented person, had to deal with personal demons, in addition to fighting simultaneously, outer demons.

But we saw him work with, and commune with spiritual leaders, highly revered and respected people who shared their human foibles with him and let him see and know that there was light at the end of the tunnel if you held on and kept up the faith that there is a greater goal, a greater mission.

I’ll not delve into those who believe that Michael freed himself from this world, this life, so that he can live a life out of the limelight. I’ll leave that completely alone. However, if that were the case, it would be interesting in terms of this IO. Why? Because he completed his mission. He left his mark on the world. He ‘paid his dues’ to the world and society for 45 years. He was due some peace.

Either way, he has peace now.

Ibaye Michael Jackson. I will love you always and forever.

I give thanks to Ra Un Nefer Amen for the teachings in the I Ching in the Harlem River Arrangements; a series of lectures given many many years ago that still serve to enlighten me, and thousands of people across the world.
