In the year that shall not be named, I stumbled upon Jennifer Hill's profile on Twitter. She's holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, she's an author, and she's a priestess. My kind of doctor -- a whole-istic one!

I love Jen's tweets. They were, and are, empowering, thoughtful and full of spiritual depth. I kept coming back to her profile time and time again.

We finally truly connected when I posted a guided meditation for Hecate. Soon after this, Jen tweeted a request for people's experiences with shadow work. I knew I wanted to participate but was hesitant (shy!). Then, I moved. But, after more meditations with Hecate, I knew I needed to reach back out to see if the offer to share was still on the table. Thankfully, it was.

Shadow work has been an integral part of my practice for the last several years. It has helped me to refine and find the me, I am evolving into. All the time we hear about the start of the journey, and where the person arrived. We rarely hear about the journey itself. Why? Because it's not pretty. It's not linear. It doesn't have neat bow on it (we try and pretty it up; edit it after we've arrived...). The journey is simply: THE JOURNEY. It can take a few weeks, months, years, decades, to ARRIVE. There's no timeline. No pace. No right, no wrong. It is your individualistic journey to the heart of your soul, and back.

The Hecate guided meditation is one key to help you begin/continue your shadow work in an easy way. You just listen and let your soul, and Hecate, guide you.

Without further ado, here's my guest post on Dr. Jen Hill's website. Please show her some love and leave a comment on, this guest post, or any other post that grabs your fancy.
