Witch-y SpotLight | Raevyn Moon Raves About Crystal Love & Shares Her Expertise!

Today's Witch-y SpotLight features the wonderful Raevyn Moon! I met Raevyn initially on IG and over the course of about a year, we've chatted via video and exchanged a number of emails and such. We are definitely kindred souls!

Raevyn's IG page was awesome! (Still is!) However, she let her IG followers know that she was cooking up something special -- a new website. When it was unveiled, I was surprised by the beautiful arrangements and array of crystals she offered! And, her wraps are divine!! I've sent more and a few folks to her site!

Raevyn's sweet demeanor and expansive knowledge of crystals is her superpower! And, I wanted to introduce/share her wonderfulness with all of you.

Okay, now sit back and relax. Grab a cup of tea as we snuggle in and find out more about how Rae fell in love with crystals, and what we can learn from her expertise!

What initially drew you to crystals?

When I was a young child, my mom would take me to metaphysical shops and they had these deep display tables filled to the brim with tumbled crystals. The Pyrite pieces always called to me from that vast sea of sparkly bits... I remember my mom always telling me that it was just “Fools Gold.” But I think that’s where I got hooked...

Do you have a meditative practice? If so, does that practice incorporate crystals?

I think that meditation comes in many different forms, as we are all uniquely different souls with different experiences and gifts. I find peace and calm tending to my home by making sure that I have a safe and fulfilling space - Doing so allows me to more closely align with my highest good. There are many different practices that fall into the phrase of “tending to my home,” but it is time that allows self-reflection, planning, and so much more. Sometimes, I use them more directly, but my crystals are around me at all times and they make for the best decorations that bring a vibrational lift to my sacred space!

In your personal crystal collection, what is your optimal, most perfect, crystal baby and why?

When I first started hunting for crystals to fill my home, I found this amazing, giant hunk of Apophyllite in a Homegoods store! It didn’t have a price on it, and the employees had no idea what it was - so one of them called it for $16.99! Best deal EVER and I am constantly entranced by it’s beautiful energy. Such a powerful piece, I am thankful that I came across it that day!

What is your earliest memory of finding/discovering your very first crystal?

Definitely those days of visiting shops with my Mom, falling in love with Pyrite and always wanting every little tumbled crystal I found. I was probably 6 or 7?

We see your sweet pup babies on your IG feed. How do they help you in, or with your crystal business?

Oh my furchildren are essential to my life - I love my animals very much and they help to keep me happy. My sweet Angel boy, Patches, is a guide for me on the other side now. I know he watches over me every day. I still grieve for him, for I am still human and am not perfect. He was born in December of 2005, and I will never forget the day that I brought him home...and then on 11/22/2019, just 2 days before my birthday I had to help him go home again. Words could never express what he did for me while he was here on this plain, he was truly God sent.

As you’re working on a new piece of jewelry, can you share a bit of your mindset or, what thoughts run through your mind?

Typically, my intent as I am making the piece, is to pair with the natural abilities of the stone, or crystal itself. So something like Amethyst? I meditate on Peacefulness, psychic protection and growth. For my custom orders, the process is much more intense and energy consuming. I like to have a little insight from the customer as to what they are seeking - even if it is that they don’t know but are just called to spiritual realm. Then, I can work to connect with their guides and find an Angel number that represents their path. This number is used in the number of wraps that I make across the crystal/stone. Meditation, prayer and saging/blessing are all worked into the process and finished off with charging on a giant selenite plate for 24 Hours. My custom orders are crafted with intent, love and light. I make pieces that are meant to help you stay aligned with your highest good.

Were you always interested in the woo-woo things? Even as a child?

Woo-woo, I love that🤣 But yes, I have always been very sensitive to the ethereal/other worldly plains and People constantly told me that I have an old soul.

What are some of your favorite crystal pairings? And, why?

Adding Quartz to anything always makes for a powerful addition. It is a powerful generate crystal and you can’t ever go wrong with it.

What crystals do you suggest that we one should *never* pair with one another?

The only thing I would have to say is to *never* pair any crystal that ends in “-ITE” with water. Lol, some can just dissolve the crystal while others may cause chemical reactions. Otherwise, have fun with your crystals, always trust your intuition and practice with love.

Who have you become since delving into this world of crystals?

I have found myself again and there is fulfillment everyday in what I have been able to attain in my business so far. I am beyond thankful for all of my customers and business friends that I have made along the way. I am incredibly blessed and supported.

How can we end without finding out what your favorite crystals are?

Ooh, that’s a hard one. I have a great fondness for many crystals and stones, they are all gifts from Mother Earth and I feel connected to so many of them. If I had to pick a few, they would be Quartz, Amethyst, Moonstone, Labradorite and Opal! They are all gorgeous to me, but it seems I am always attracted to the high vibration, crown and third eye chakra boosting crystals🥰 I am forever interested in the “other side” and these crystals are some of my favorite with helping me to boost my psychic abilities.
